Do you really want to see the price of health care become affordable to almost everyone? Then outlaw health insurance! No health insurance for anyone, ever. It is pay as you go or have the physicians finance their procedures for their patients that cannot afford to pay cash. The problem is not getting insurance for everyone, the problem is insurance. The most affordable medical procedures are cosmetic surgeries. Why? Because they are not covered by insurance. This means that in order to sell the procedures to customers they must be affordable. How many people would sign off on a $10.00 aspirin pill at the hospital? Nobody would pay that price yet insurance companies do all of the time. Even managed care is grossly mismanaged. If everyone in the country dropped their health insurance on the same day and told their doctor "I cant afford it so I'm getting in line behind the illegal immigrants down at the local hospital emergency room" all of this would change. It is simple economics. When nobody can pay $200,000.00 for heart surgery the price will come down. Sure some people will die that may not have to, but that is a small price to pay and it thins the herd. Insurance companies are about profit not caring for their customers anyway. Insurance companies are not your friend and neither is the government. If you cant pay for your health care, and you cant afford health insurance, and you cannot get any charity then you are going to get sick and die. As it should be!

Ah, another opportunity to point out the obvious. Yes the primaries are a chaotic mess...by design! Just as the tax code, legal vernacular, etc. etc. Why? Duh!!! Because those that benefit from all of this benefit most when it is so confusing to the average person they give up trying to understand it and just do what they want them to. Or better yet, don't participate at all. The more that are frustrated by the process and don't participate the easier it is to steer the election. We are governed by a group of wealthy con-men who will twist whatever to accomplish their goal. Freedom, rules, rights have become as subjective as modern art exhibit! It's art if they say it is, even if looks like pile of scrap junk to me. The standards in this country are following the same path. It is a rule until it is changed to accomodfate whoever has the power and money to change it. If it is chaotic, disorganized, poorly operated, little oversight, and nobody is ulimately responsible for the mess...well, there is opportunity for real profit there my friend!!!

You mean to tell me the Golden Globe Awards didn't happen? Wow, I hadn't noticed!! Contrary to your opinion, these shows are precisely for the people in the industry. True that there are some others who watch, like the the same group of people who waste their hard earned money on The National Enquirer (people with no minds want to know), People Magazine, and lottery tickets! I'm thinking the last time I watched COPS when they drug that shirtless, toothless, long hair out of the trailer home for beating his wife he was, in fact, watching The Golden Globes when the police burst in. One thing that has been proven by the writers strike, their is other stuff to do beside watch the tube and that is a good thing!
